Sorry there aren't any pics with this one! Just watch the videos for the 17th time. Thanks!
Here are his new specs:
Weight: 20 lbs, 3 oz (40th percentile) Height: 30 inches (92nd percentile) Head circumference: 17.75 inches (45th percentile)
He wasn't feeling too well on Monday morning during the appointment, though. He had a fever of 101.3 He wouldn't let Dr. Reddy hold him at all, and when she was prodding him for his exam, he decided to pee all over both of us, but mostly on me. It was a lot of pee.
We wanted to give y'all some videos of Luke's lastest tricks and things he likes to do.
1) Playing the songs on his boom box. This was a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Bradley, and we've had it for 7 months now. He's only now learned that when you press the yellow button at the top, it plays an extended little song. So he'll keep the boom box beside him while he's playing, and when the song ends, he turns to it, starts it up again, and continues playing. Pretty cute.
2) Growing teeth. He has four now! Two on bottom, which you can see in this video, and two on top. He's really ready to move on chunkier foods, so I hope more teeth come in soon. Tomorrow morning, we have his 9-month check up, so we'll be able to give you all his stats very soon.
3) Playing with the cell phone. Of COURSE. He loves our cell phones. For a while, he wasn't allowed to touch them. But then it occurred to me that I don't care whether he touches them; I just don't want him to chew/slobber them. So now the rule is that he can hold it, but not put it in his mouth. It's actually working! It's amazing what their little minds can grasp. He's allowed to stand at the toilet, but not put his hand in.
4) Waving. This is something we recently taught him. You can see from the video that he's pretty fascinated with it. He waves to himself a lot and practices compulsively at times. He has yet to lift up his hand and wave to someone at the proper moment. But, sometimes we can lift his arm up for him and then he will start blinking his little hand. Also SO cute.
This picture was taken today. What a big boy! Nine months and a week!
Today we had high tea at the Four Seasons for Anna's birthday. It was so nice to bond with my sisters. And tonight we're having lasagna that mom made us with Anna's roommate, Javi, and.... JEFFREY! He drove down from Massachusetts today on his way back to KY. The four siblings together again!
The other day I babysat for some friends. Their little girl, Camera Paige, is about 2 months younger than Luke. (For those who know, she's Caleb and Ashley's daughter. Ashley is Harrison's sister.)
